Terms of use

These terms explain what you may do with the material in the catalogue, what needs written permission, and the limits of what a general educational library can be responsible for.

Last updated 1 July 2026Manitoba, CanadaNon-commercial reuse permitted

Using this site

These terms apply to everyone who uses moolmes.club. By reading, printing or reusing material from the catalogue you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. Nothing in these terms removes a right you have under Canadian consumer protection law.

What the library provides

Moolmes publishes general educational material. Entries explain how something usually works and what questions to ask. They are not advice about your circumstances, and they are not a substitute for a qualified professional, an official source, or the terms of a contract you have entered into. See the disclaimer for the detail.

The catalogue changes. Entries are revised, reclassified and occasionally withdrawn. We aim to keep shelf marks stable and to leave a revision note wherever material changes, but we do not guarantee that any particular entry will remain available.

What you may do with the material

Unless an entry says otherwise, you may:

  • read, download and print material for personal use;
  • print and distribute toolkits and entries for non-commercial educational use, including in schools, libraries, community organisations and workplace training, provided the shelf mark and the library's name remain on the sheet;
  • quote short extracts with attribution and, online, a link to the source page;
  • adapt worksheets for a specific community, noting on the adaptation that it has been changed.

What needs permission

Written permission from the reference desk is needed to republish an entry in full, to use material in a commercial product or service, to include material in a paid course or publication, or to present material in a way that suggests the library endorses an organisation, product or position. Permission for non-commercial educational reuse is granted routinely and usually within five business days.

Intellectual property

Text, classification, illustrations and page design are the property of Moolmes unless credited otherwise. Where material has been contributed by a reader or volunteer, the contributor retains authorship and grants the library a licence to publish and revise it; contributors are credited unless they ask not to be.

The name Moolmes, the library's mark and the Moolmes classification may not be used in a way that implies affiliation, endorsement or accreditation.

Your conduct

When using the site or contacting the desk, you agree not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, to interfere with the availability of the service, to submit material you do not have the right to send, to send personal information about a third party without their knowledge, or to use the contact form for marketing.

Limits of liability

The catalogue is provided as it stands. We take care that it is accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is free of error or suitable for any particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, Moolmes is not liable for loss arising from reliance on material in the catalogue, from the unavailability of the site, or from the use of any third-party site linked from it. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions; where that is so, the exclusion does not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Manitoba.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. Substantive changes are announced on this page for 60 days. Continuing to use the site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version.
